Welcome to BLUENOSE x99sailingteam
What's new...
May-05: Scheveningen Revenge results in NSR win
Close racing in heavy breeze brought victory to BLUENOSE once again. On day 1 a
small pack emerged from the crowd. On day 2, in a 27kt breeze, the boys were
seperated from the men as BLUENOSE took the lead. Day 3 and 4 presented little
challenge to us, and BLUENOSE ran for gold by a comfortable margin.

Aug-04: Messy performance at 2004 Scheveningen Open Dutch
Once again missed out on the metal at the Open Dutch. With one day cancelled
(was it really blowing 25+ knots? Ehhhm...) and one day fighting the chop in a 9
knot breeze with only average results, day 3 didn't bring us what we needed.
Before the party started, BLUENOSE broke her portside shroud. Not a nice
meet-and-greet with the happy ones leaving the marina while turning back in...
Aug-04: Triple Whammie Couvee Beker at the 2004 Flevo Race!
The shiny big Flevorace mug is back in the house, for the third successive
time. With a clean sheet, overall zero points (yeah right, bonus scoring)
BLUENOSE captured all four races, leaving competition mostly clueless...
May-04: Splendid re-entry, second overall in the North Sea Regatta 2004
After a long and, moreover, accidentally extended period of repairing and
rerigging, the 2004 North Sea Regatta was the first key event. BLUENOSE were
once again back in the top end of the score sheets, outperformed only by Maxx,
coming in second overall X-99 in the NSR.
April-04: More broken stuff
Dismasted in a moderate breeze. Check out yours, it might be next. Tuning up the new gear while others are racing their heads off in the 2004 IJtoren
Race.
Winter-03: fixing things up!
Finally an opportunity to fix broken stuff...
Sep-03: BLUENOSE best-of-the-rest at the 2003 Dutch Open
Powerful performance brought victory to Artful Dodger, with TUPAK and X-treem
and BLUENOSE at some distance. BLUENOSE misses out on medals ending 4th overall.
AUG-03: BLUENOSE Extends Flevorace Title!
After having won last year's edition, BLUENOSE once again captures gold
in the 2003 Flevorace. In extremely variable conditions, competition was left
behind. BLUENOSE recorded a 2-3-4-1 score sheet to retain the championship
title. Click here to view the full results.

IJtoren race results: 6 overall
BLUENOSE scored 6 overall in very
windy conditions. The best race result (2nd in race 4) was not
scored due to failure of the RC to substantiate their individual
recall. As a consequence, all ships received OCS scores... Click

BLUENOSE hit by fourth discard in IJspegel
- 4 overall!
Although we outpaced both Corbulo
and Yellow Rose, widening the score gap to our final advantage,
we were very unfortunate in the overall scores. The completion
of race nr. 16 triggered the fourth discard, placing Corbulo up
alongside BLUENOSE with 42 points. With a best-series-result of
1, Corbulo was able to claim the third position over BLUENOSE...
